Speaker:  Diane Weinberg 

Topic: "Guardianship and Conservatorship"

Diane Weinberg specializes in assisting families with the medical, financial and housing-related legal challenges that often accompany aging and disability. Her elder law and special needs practice encompasses the following services:  long term care planning using public benefits (Medicaid, veteran’s improved pension benefits), special needs planning, and contested and uncontested guardianships & conservatorships.

Currently, Diane serves as Of Counsel with the law firm Morgan & DiSalvo, P.C. She earned a B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from the Emory University School of Law.  A member of the State Bar of Georgia and a Veterans Administration Accredited Attorney, Diane is a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planner, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and Elder Counsel.  Diane received certification as an At-Risk Adult Crimes Tactics Specialist through the Georgia Department of Humans Services, Division of Aging Services, and she serves on a GBI informal legislative workgroup addressing issues of abuse, neglect and exploitation of the elderly and disabled.  She currently is on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is co-chairperson of the Legislative Policy committee. She is a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated attorney and has an AVVO rating of 10/10. 

Diane is a frequent speaker on Elder Law related topics, including elder abuse, guardianship and conservatorship, and Medicaid eligibility.  At least annually, she speaks in continuing legal education classes teaching elder law to other attorneys and elder law attorneys.
